Privacy Policy
IPTV Canada (“we”, “us”) is responsible for the personal information collected through iptvv-ca.ca and through our WhatsApp and email support. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have. Because we serve customers in Canada, we follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, provincial privacy law such as Québec’s Law 25; because the service is operated from the United Kingdom, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) also governs how we handle your data. We collect the minimum we need to run the service – and we never sell your data.

1. What Data We Collect
Information you give us. When you request a trial or order a subscription we collect your name (or the name you choose to use), email address, WhatsApp or phone number, the device type you plan to use and your messages to support. If you contact us through the website form we collect the details you enter there.
Payment information. Payments are handled by independent payment providers. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, the amount, the method and a transaction reference – we do not receive or store full card numbers, bank credentials or PayPal passwords.
Technical and usage information. Our servers automatically record the IP address, approximate country, browser and device type of visitors, the pages viewed and the date and time of requests. Our streaming platform records account login times, the number of simultaneous connections and basic diagnostic data needed to keep the service running and to detect account sharing or abuse.
Cookies. This website uses only strictly necessary cookies (for example to remember your preferences and keep the site secure) and, where you consent, basic analytics cookies so we can see which pages are useful. You can block cookies in your browser at any time.
2. Why We Collect It & Our Legal Basis
We use your data to: create and activate your trial or subscription and send you the login details (performance of a contract); answer support requests and troubleshoot your setup (performance of a contract / legitimate interests); send renewal reminders and important service notices (legitimate interests – you can opt out of anything that is not essential); protect the service against fraud, credential sharing and abuse (legitimate interests); keep accounting records and comply with legal obligations (legal obligation); and, only if you agree, send occasional offers by email or WhatsApp (consent – withdraw at any time by replying “stop”).
We do not sell personal data to anyone, we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal effects on you, and we do not build advertising profiles.
3. Who We Share Data With
We share personal data only with providers who need it to help us deliver the service, each under a contract that restricts how they may use it: payment processors (to take your payment), our hosting and streaming infrastructure providers (to run the website and service), messaging providers such as WhatsApp and our email provider (to communicate with you), and analytics tools (aggregated, non-identifying statistics). We may also disclose data where the law requires it, to comply with a valid court order or lawful request from a Canadian or UK authority, or where necessary to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
4. Where Your Data Is Stored & International Transfers
Your data is stored on encrypted servers located in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, which means personal information collected from Canadian customers is transferred and processed outside Canada. Some of the providers we use (for example messaging and payment services) may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where that happens we use contractual safeguards (including standard contractual clauses) so that your data receives comparable protection; be aware that data held outside Canada may be subject to the laws of the country in which it is stored.
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
Account and order details are kept for the life of your subscription and for 12 months after it ends, so that we can help you reactivate and handle any questions about your order. Payment records are kept for six years to meet accounting and tax rules. Support conversations are deleted after 12 months unless they relate to an open dispute. Server logs are kept for 90 days. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
6. How We Protect Your Data
We use TLS encryption on the website and streaming platform, encrypted storage, access controls so that only trained staff who need your data can see it, and monitoring to detect unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, so we also ask you to help: choose a strong, unique password for your device accounts, keep your IPTV Canada login private, be cautious on public Wi-Fi and never share your login in response to a message claiming to be from us – we will never ask for your password.
If a personal data breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm to you we will notify you and, where required, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and the UK Information Commissioner’s Office as soon as feasible.
7. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to: access a copy of the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data; ask us to delete data we no longer need; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights email support@smartvpro.co.uk with “Data request” in the subject line. We respond within 30 days and do not charge a fee. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca (or to your provincial privacy regulator), or to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
8. Third-Party Apps, Devices & Links
Player applications and devices you use with the service are made by independent companies with their own privacy policies, and data they collect (such as app crash reports or device identifiers) is controlled by them, not by us. Our website may link to external sites; we are not responsible for their privacy practices and recommend reading their policies before providing any information.
9. Children’s Privacy
The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly. Parents and guardians are responsible for setting appropriate parental controls on their devices and player applications.
10. Changes to This Policy
We review this policy regularly and will update it if our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes are announced by email to active customers before they take effect.
